Welcome to page five of Hand to Hand. This score is one linking up with many across the world; highlighting the messages of Sarasota's children, young people and others in our expanding community. The messages of the heart that are shared here are timeless and need to be heeded by those in a position of leadership; it is a vision that longs to stem such violence as occurred in New York and Washington on September 11, 2001 . . . and everywhere else on Earth.

If we could only have the will to not fight and kill, it would be right. If we could only try, people will not die; if there were no war, everyone will walk through the door with no harm, so they can cuddle up with their family and be warm by the fireplace with hot burning wood. If we could only stop the hate, and become peaceful.

I envision a world whereby people look inside each other, passing through the outer being to the inner soul, the "heart" of the person. There lies the greater treasure a person can offer another.     Rabbi Andrew Bossov, Temple Emanu-El, Sarasota, FL

Peace to me means friendship. This is my friend Joey and I'm carrying his lunch box and mine into the lunchroom.

I watch with interest what is unfolding on the world front and I can see that this can be so GOOD! Nations of many colors, creeds, languages and religions working together as a team towards the same end, a mutual goal, to defeat terrorism and hopefully to support human rights and freedoms. One must be stern. We must speak out, not in self-righteous pride, but rather with a heart that would speak for all the children of human kind as our own, and for all creation on this fair planet. This is my view and my prayer, and I'm stickin' to it! It is my path towards peace. Without it, I perish. Holding the vigil, the vision and the prayer.      Zan Benham

For All Ages

Peace is loving with a reason, peace is living with care, peace is healing, peace is surrounding us with an open hert, and peace ends the violence and wars in our society.

I believe everything is in divine order and perfect. I pray that I continue to stay in a place of peace as my peace and yours can affect all of us positively. I do believe in soul agreements and believe that those souls who transistioned agreed to leave our planet before being reincarnated and that they are still with us even though we cannot see them. Their energy and souls guide us toward world unity which is what I believe all of this is about. We are ascending toward a Golden Age and it is all a perfect part of the journey.
Love and Blessings, Susan Bierker

Peace to me means that people help each other and share. Next, peace is when people give each other time to explain and listen to each other. In the twenty-first century I think that maybe if people take time to do those things then maybe we will have world peace. That would be very COOL!

May the tragedy of Sept 11 lead to greater awareness of others in the world and an awareness and acknowledgement of the wrongs and mistakes the United States has made in its' relationships and interactions with other countries and peoples of the world so they are not repeated. May the people of the world be brought to a higher consciousness that transcends materialism and fanaticism. May all voices be allowed to speak and not be stifled for the sake of 'national security.' May the result of this be a peaceful, loving, understanding world. Namaste'. I greet the divinity in all people of the world.         Steve Stokes

Everyone is praying / praying for some healing / In the world we call home / Old down to the young / Coming as one / with the pain of what's been done / Black, white yellow red / Religion has been shed / Grouped together in love / Isn't this what we've always wanted / Isn't this what we talked about / Then isn't this now the time / To let all our hearts shine . . .    John Kildahl

Peace means that everyone is treated equally. No more wars. You can go places without worrying about getting killed.

et us give birth to the unexpected.
So hope for a great sea-change on the far side of revenge.
Believe that a farther shore Is reachable from here. Believe in miracles and cures and healing wells.

Always be nice, never be mean,
Don't forget to follow your dream.
Follow the Golden Rule, do your best,
And always put your mind to the test.

I am enjoying the future where billions are invested in practical application of the well researched art and science of wisdom, citizen deliberation and public judgement. Where it is common knowledge that there are communication processes that support collective understanding and such conversations are happening officially and in full public view. In spite of appearances we are co-intelligent. It is our nature and our essence. It is the truth of who and what we are.       Doug Freeman

The more you give, the more you have. If everyone gave a little bit, instead of always taking, the world might be more peaceful!

To me, peace means living in harmony with others. Getting along with others, and loving. Not breaking rules, and having no enemies. No fighting or wars, only loving and caring. Peace is all that life needs.

Peace . . . Laughter and singing instead of tears and profanity, fingers that make music instead of fingers that point, mouths that smile in satisfaction instead of mouths that sneer in disapproval. Unity instead of discrimination. Love instead of hate. Believing in what it all will be instead of what it all could be.
