E.Z. Bird was
developed as a beautifully designed and inexpensive recreational Paramotor
that would get the sports flyer into the air for under five thousand
dollars.
The aircraft is
a light-weight trike with a steerable nosewheel that weighed only ninety-five
pounds dry. It has a welded tubular steel frame and offered the perspective
buyer an alternative to the "motor on your back" type of ultralight
aircraft or the cumbersome and heavy Paraplanes. E.Z. Bird could be
easily transported to the launch area on the roof of the pilot's car.
Powered by a 25
to 40 horsepower two-stroke motor turning a three blade Ivoprop, E.Z.
Bird has a projected airspeed limited by the airfoilof thirty
miles per hour and an operational ceiling of three thousand feet.
The size of the airfoil/wing
chosen is dependent on the weight of the pilot.
